Lobularia
Lobularia, Sweet Alyssum, is a pretty annual. It grows mounded or trailing, from 4 to 12 inches. The foliage is linear or lanceolate, gray green and grows up to an inch long. The flowers are tiny, growing only - to -inch across. They are formed on thin stalks and are so profuse they hide the leaves. They may be white, rose, purple or violet. Light shearing will increase the blooms.
Pot Cultivation
They need well drained soil that is moist to on the dry side and sun half the day or more.
Propagation
Seeds can be started indoors at 70 degrees, 6 to 8 weeks before it's safe for them to be planted outside. They may also be sown outside where they are to grow as soon as the soil has warmed up.
